The Modern Slavery Act 2015 (MSA) in the UK targets combating slavery and calls upon organizations to actively prevent modern slavery in their activities.
Noda is dedicated to combating slavery and to prevent any association with, promotion of, or support for human trafficking or slavery in its operations. This statement reaffirms our adherence to the MSA, emphasizes our stance against modern slavery, and delineates the steps we take to ensure the effective implementation of our approach.
Our status, operations, and supply chain
Noda has implemented various controls to ensure that we do not participate in any activities contradicting our stance on modern slavery. Below are some of these measures.
Noda uses several suppliers which provide professional services such as consultancy services, legal advice and accounting services if needed. Additionally, we engage suppliers providing hardware and software, encompassing computer equipment, software licenses, and cloud-based data storage services. Most of our suppliers are situated in locations where our offices operate, namely the UK and the EU.
As an internet-based payment technology company, with the majority of our suppliers comprising software and professional service providers, our human rights and modern slavery risk profile is assessed as low. Nonetheless, all suppliers must adhere to our internal policies, which inter alia mandate that all vendors undergo vetting and due diligence, with the level of scrutiny varying based on their risk categorization.
The majority of merchants Noda provides services to are situated in low-risk geographies, and they undergo due diligence to confirm their low-risk status.
Noda has no knowledge of any instances of slavery or human trafficking within its group businesses or supply chains. Throughout the last financial year, no potential issues of this nature have been identified or reported through internal reporting channels, audit processes, whistleblowing channels, or any other means. Additionally, Noda has not received any information from any entities within the Noda group suggesting the existence of such issues with any of its intra-group suppliers or their supply chains.
We are committed to upholding all internationally recognized human rights concerning our employees, the communities where we operate, and the communities within our global supply chains. Should Noda become aware that any party with whom we have a relationship is involved in human rights violations or modern slavery offenses, we will promptly terminate our association with that entity.
Concerns regarding human rights or modern slavery involving any of our merchants, suppliers, or other parties can be reported to Noda through Legal@noda.live. We assure you that we will promptly and thoroughly investigate any such reports.
