The Irish-American financial services company was founded in 2010 by two entrepreneurial brothers, Patrick and John Collison.

It describes itself as a technology company that “builds economic infrastructure” for the internet, while its software is used by businesses of all sizes to accept payments.

Stripe has dual headquarters (in San Francisco and Dublin) as well as offices across the world, including in London, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.
